Artist of the Week: Lesley Oldaker
I actually came across this lovely artist while I was scrolling through tumblr. I saw her painting “Passing through” and just immediately fell in love with the fragility of the subjects and colors.
Ms. Oldaker is an artist from the UK who currently lives in Switzerland (a country I have yet to visit but desperately want to go to) She does photography as well as painting but I of course focus more on the paintings.
I love the palette she uses for this particular collection of paintings. It creates a dark and calming mood. It takes me to a completely different place and it’s like I can hear the rain falling. It’s difficult to explain but I guess I just feel really drawn in to the painting. (Do I sound crazy?) I hope not. If you have a favorite painting that completely draws you in please share!  Artist of the Week: Lesley Oldaker
